This unofficial day of celebration which originated in North America in the mid-1990s takes place on Friday 5 March. Though still mainly celebrated in US and Canada, it’s been growing in popularity worldwide ever since.
We appreciate our amazing colleagues every single day but after such a tough year, think it’s a great idea to dedicate a special day towards some extra appreciation and colleague recognition. Since last March, NSS people have gone above and beyond for customers and for each other. Our operatives, in particular, never stopped keeping our customers’ buildings clean, well-maintained and fully functioning. Essential for their brand reputation and business continuity.
In this 2019 survey 90% of HR workers agreed that an effective recognition and reward programme helps drive business results so celebrating such a day as one part of wider activity also makes commercial sense.
