MIPIM Tennis – Bright Ideas for Tennis

We’re excited to once again be heading to MIPIM and, as is tradition at High Access, (part of the NSS Group) entering the MIPIM Tennis tournament.

Each year we join forces with the great and good of the property industry to raise funds for some fantastic charities. This year the tournament has selected four brilliant causes and, by way of celebrating their fantastic work, we’ll be shining the spotlight on each of them and reminding ourselves why, amid the madness of MIPIM, we set aside an afternoon to don our tennis whites.

This week we’re looking at Bright Ideas for Tennis

While we might not be able to give Henman a run for his money, we have certainly enjoyed and benefited from the sport. Aside from the immediate benefits to both physical and mental health that comes from exercise, tennis is a brilliant tool to bring communities together.

Bright Ideas for Tennis want to share these benefits, introduce the sport to new audiences and make it accessible for all.

Founded in 2013, the charity’s main goal is to support tennis clubs, increase participation and improve playing facilities. They host many fundraising events, including 24hr marathons, skydives, gala dinners, and football matches. Its most recent project, I Play 30, provides free weekly tennis sessions for players with disabilities. They currently run the programme at 17 venues throughout the UK.

We’re excited to be able to support the sport and its future talent.
