We recognise our responsibility to the communities nationwide within which we operate. That’s why, as well as regular fundraising initiatives throughout the year, we like to donate our Reliably consistent expertise wherever we can to those who can least afford it.
Charity
We’re proud to support BrainWave and Calderdale SmartMove as our two nominated charities of the year.
Brainwave works with families to deliver home-based therapies that help children with disabilities reach their full potential. This can be anything, from walking to recognising numbers, and covers a range of conditions including Autism, Down’s Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. Our support of Brainwave has lasted for many years, and we regularly attend fundraising events to help do our bit for the cause.
Calderdale SmartMove was established in 1998 as a registered charity, sourcing safe and secure homes for homeless and vulnerable people in Calderdale. They provide statutory housing support for disadvantaged individuals and families in our community.
We also organise an Annual Charity Abseil in Leeds, which encourages local people to come along and experience what it’s like to abseil down the side of a large building. Slightly terrifying for novices! Our staff give up their time on a weekend to organise, participate and manage the entire event, ensuring participants are in the safest of hands.
National reach, local communities
We appreciate that not every organisation can easily afford our services when either emergency or necessity arise. For this reason, we launched a new charitable and community initiative; offering our Reliably consistent expertise on a regular ongoing basis. Entirely complimentary and no strings attached. Where possible, we have a local recruitment policy which shapes our approach to selection of new people. We also engage with local schools and offer work experience placements to students and young people to give them an understanding of a real life working environment.
Our people genuinely feel that they are giving something back to the communities in which we work.
