We did it! NSS has officially achieved the highest level of accreditation with Investors in People (IIP) – yes, Platinum!
Our journey with IIP began in 2017. Back then, we were a small team, just embarking on what would become a guiding path for our organisation. We gathered momentum as we pushed forward. In that first year, we earned the standard IIP accreditation – a great start to our journey.
By 2020, the world had changed, and so had we. We listened hard to the valuable feedback gained from our IIP check-ins and assessments and implemented effective improvements in response. We integrated the IIP model into our daily operations, ensuring that our decision-making, especially when it came to our people, aligned with the IIP framework. How we listen to our employees and manage key assessments became centred around these principles.
We approached our 2020 assessment with high hopes. At the end of the process, we were beyond proud to learn that we hadn’t just met expectations – we had bypassed the Silver accreditation and jumped straight to Gold. It was a significant achievement for NSS, and it energised us to aim even higher.
Fast forward to 2023, we continued to work incredibly hard and once again secured Gold. The feedback from IIP was both insightful and motivating – we had evidenced strong progress and were so close to reaching Platinum. In recognition of our advancement, we were offered the opportunity for a fast track and provided one year to implement key adjustments. We embraced the challenge and poured our efforts into further improving our organisation.
In 2024, we found ourselves back in the accreditation process, keen to evidence that we had successfully implemented and adopted improvements. And just a few weeks ago, we received the news we had been working toward – NSS has achieved the Platinum standard – recognition that is reserved for high-performing businesses at the top of their game! Out of 59,000 companies assessed only 2% achieve this top accreditation – that’s something to be proud of, right?
This is more than just a certification; it’s a testament to our team’s dedication, our commitment to growth and opportunities, and the importance we place on the people who make NSS what it is.
What is Investors in People (IIP)?
Investors in People is a globally recognised standard for people management, aiming to assess how well organisations lead and support their people. With a focus on continuous improvement, the IIP framework helps organisations make better decisions surrounding leadership, employee engagement, and performance. Achieving Platinum is the highest accolade, reflecting an organisation’s exceptional commitment to its people and its ability to create a positive, sustainable work culture.
