At NSS, one of our core values is working in ‘The Safest Way’ and our employees are the lifeblood of our business. We are committed to retaining our people, supporting our customers and doing the right thing. Some of our services play a part in improving the environmental health of the UK and we will continue to support essential services, such as 999 call centres, banks, pharmacies, food distribution outlets etc. until we are expressly instructed to stop. Equally, our maintenance division is continuing to cover urgent reactive maintenance requests.
We are following the government’s guidance closely and are pausing our other services where possible to allow our teams to stay at home. Our office-based teams are working from home predominantly and we have scaled back our field-based workforce but, to be clear, we are currently still operating (safely) for those customers that require our specialist services.
We hope the sensible collective action across the nation will now have the desired effect in response to the coronavirus threat and we can soon return to some semblance of normality.
