The Solution
Having previously erected a temporary timber wall as a reactive fix, NSS returned to site to install a full replacement shopfront.
After cordoning off the work area to ensure a safe working environment, the timber structure was safely removed from the shopfront and the remaining aluminium frame removed and disposed of.
NSS cleared the area of debris and old sealant before installing the new aluminium frame. The door section was levelled, secured and sealed. Three new glazing units were then installed, and sealed with gaskets and capping beads.
The new door frame itself was also glazed with capping beads and gaskets, mechanically installed with a double threshold, and hook locks and secured with hinge angle and flush bolts
The internal and external sensors were installed, wired into a control box fitted to the wall near the door.
All glazing units were cleaned upon completion with black mastic sealant applied around each unit.
All work related waste was removed from site, leaving the area clear and tidy.
